Mercedes-Benz Launched Its C-class Version Car

German based luxury car manufacturing Mercedes-Benz launched new model ‘C-class car’ in the Indian auto market on 1st September 2011. Mercedes-Benz is powerful in the luxury car category. This new C-class car is introduced with better engine which reduces the carbon emission. This model comes with new designed LED headlamps.

Mercedes-Benz first showed its new C-class 2011 car images on 2010 December. Later in the January 2011, it unveiled this car at Detroit auto show. The car is highly proced. Its price is 25% more than its closer competitor. The new C-class Mercedes-Benz comes in petrol version at Rs.29.79 lakh and in diesel version at Rs.32.30 lakh.

The facilities of new Mercedes-Benz C-class car are also advanced, it comes with the 4 cylinder petrol engine with 7G-Tronic gearbox, 1.8 petrol version engine, automatic engine start and stop facilities, new dash board with high resolution touchscreen, new gear ration and better economy.

World premier car manufacturing company Mercedes-Benz is taking every action for producing environmental friendly cars. The new C-class version car is designed to reduce the carbon emission, thus protecting environment.

Volkswagen Launched Limited Editions of Polo & Vento Models in India

The German motors said that they are launching very limited units of their products into the Indian auto market. These limited edition of its products are termed as ‘action models’ by Volkswagen. They are introducing new variants of Volkswagen Polo and Vento models. The interesting news is that these new variants are available at the same price as their old variants. They want to introduce these models in the festive seasons only. Volkswagen has introduced these models in the 77 dealership centers across India.

According to the economic times data, Volkswagen is introducing new Volkswagen models Polo Breeze in petrol version and Vento Breeze in both petrol and diesel versions.

Polo model cars come with the state of satellite navigation system, rear parking distance control, leatherette seat covers, breeze stickers, breeze pillows and mat. Volkswagen Vento model cars will be added with the touch screen audio screen multimedia player, with GPS, USB and blue-tooth connectivity.

German based car manufacturing company Volkswagen comes in various new models which have reasonable prices. Volkswagen is already performing good in Indian auto market. Few Indian Car Manufacturers Showed Poor Sales Growth in July 2011

India is the second fastest auto manufacturing industry after the China in the world. But, it has managed its sales growth with only 1.6 percent in July 2011. Of the many reasons for this poor sales performance, rising of fuel prices and the interest rates on car loans are the major ones. The banks in India have raised the interest rates on car loans by 10 times than 2010.

Maruti Suzuki faced a huge production loss in the month of June due to workers strike in Manesar plant and have stopped the production for 14 days. Maruti Suzuki has registered decline in sales growth by more than 25% with 75,300 units in July 2011.

Hyundai motors also declined their sales by 1.48% and managed to sell only 49,667 cars in July 2011. July has been a good month for the car manufacturers, Mahindra as they have registered an increase in sales growth by 41% by selling 39,663 vehicles in July 2011. Nissan motors also increased its sales growth with 58.5% by selling 1,593 units in 2011 and Czech car makers, Skoda India continued its forward sales growth with 98% in July 2011 by selling of 2412 vehicles.

Tata motors registered decreased sales growth of 38% in July 2011, Kirloskar motors registered sales growth with 98.89% in July 2011, Volkswagen also registered their huge sales growth with 151% in July 2011 and the new Chevrolet’s Beat diesel, registered their sales growth rate with 34% in July 2011.

Sales of Mercedes-Benz in US in 2011

The sales for the month and year-to-date ended on June 2011 was announced by Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. The company reported sales of 22,563 vehicles, which is a growth of 18.8% over June 2010. It is also the company’s highest volume of sales in month of June and first half of the year till date. On a year-to-date basis, the 118,021 vehicles sold represent a 10.4% increase.

In U.S, the sales rose by 8.9% in April, due to the increase in sales of the new 5-series and X3, when compared to the 71,417 units, last year. Mercedes and Lexus delivered 71,388 and 64,932 units respectively.

Mercedes has said that it does not want to be known as number one luxury brand in U.S. But, with the sales of January, February and March combined, it seems to be the leader for 2011. It has 729 sales more than BMW and 5990 sales more than Lexus. It has sold 53,346 vehicles. BMW sold 52,617 and Lexus 47,356.

Mercedes-Benz U.S. sales were boosted by the 2011 E-Class and C-Class sedans. Sales increased by 9.4 percent to 21,484 units when compared to the same month in 2010. Read the rest of this post

Auto Sales of US in June 2011

Auto sales in June 2011 remained positive. This month has seen strong growth in the two-wheeler segment. However, the impact of higher interest rates and fuel prices has been evident in the passenger car segment, which has seen a significant decline in its growth rate.

Light vehicle sales in the U.S. rose a by 2.4% to a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 11.41 million vehicles in June when compared to 11.14 million vehicles in the same month last year. It came down from the seasonally adjusted annual rate of 11.8 million in May, the slowest since June 2010. Total sales inched up 7.1% to 1.05 million vehicles during the month.

US automakers sales:

  • Sales of GM & Co. grew by 10.2% to 215,358 vehicles. Retail sales contributed 16% to the overall sales growth.
  • Sales of the Ford Motors Co. increased 13.6% to 194,144 vehicles. The sales grow was mainly due to the cars and utilities, whose sales rose 17% and 15% respectively during the month.
  • Sales at Chrysler Group LLC, rose 30%to 120,394 vehicles. It was the best sales of the Chrysler in the month. The company retail sales improved 46% during the month.

Together, GM, Ford and Chrysler achieved a market share of 50.1% last month. Read the rest of this post

Last time, Audi has announced that is reluctant to start its production activities in America. This was due to the economic crisis being observed in the country those days. The officials said that, they need new production capacity in the US. Audi has reported record sales for the first six months of the year, with a record 652,950 cars sales across the globe. In the US alone, the German company has increased deliveries by 15.4 percent over the already record figures achieved in 2010.

Volkswagen Group Rocks with Record Sales

Volkswagen Group’s global deliveries for first – half of 2011 (July,13) has surpassed 4 million cars and SUVs for the first time, due to demand in all the markets, the German automaker said. Company sales of the Volkswagen increased 12 percent in the first six months resulting in the sale of more than 2.5 million vehicles.

Volkswagen sold 1.97 million cars globally in the first three months of 2011, compared to 1.73 million vehicles in the same period last year. It has shown a growth of 13.7 percent.

Irrespective of Volkswagen having not so good perception in America, this positive results are encouraging. However, the world’s third largest automaker (after Toyota and GM) has made it up elsewhere. Its group market share in Europe stands at an unbeatable 22 percent.

As per these figures, 27% of the 2011 Volkswagen Jettas sold are diesels. Volkswagen has announced plans to quadruple its overall sales in the U.S. over the next eight years to 800,000. Currently 37% of Volkswagen sold in the U.S. are diesel based.

Government, private health organizations, health camps all made their trails to create awareness among the public about substance abuse and the illicit drugs. The suggestions given by Everett police about bath salts reflects their social concern about public health.

Everett police are taking a proactive approach to warn the people about the toxicity of the synthetic drugs. Recently they advised the people and tried to create awareness on bath salts.

As the normal people think bath salts will no more create a nice aroma when placed in bath tubs, they could cause organ failure and profuse bleeding, says Everett’s police. The police got to know that the bath salt is a street name for chemical compounds that mimic hard drugs. People started calling the illicit drugs as bath salts to circumvent federal drug rules.

The police are even visiting the stores and distribution locations and let them know the liabilities in selling those kind of drugs. They are also sending educational material to neighborhood groups and want people to know about the dangers.

Even the Washington Poison Center is reporting that they had received 76 calls involving bath salts this year, while they had only one call on it during 2010. According to spokesman from the state department of health, the state has placed an emergency ban on bath salts and it makes the selling, making and delivering bath salts illegal when it comes to action.

The side effects of bath salts include higher blood pressure, a higher heart rate and higher body temperature. They can cause people to become delirious, delusional, combative and sometimes psychotic. The effects can last for days.

Russia Experiences Excellent Online Ad Revenues Over Print Media in Third Quarter of 2011

Online advertising in Russia, which was behind the print media from January to September 2011, experienced the highest growth rate. The ad revenues for print media during this period was $1 billion whereas the revenues of online advertising was $900 million. However, there had been a drastic change and the online ad revenues had surpassed those of print media in the third quarter of 2011.

As per the Association of Russian communication agencies, online advertising revenues in this period had exceeded expectations to rise by 57 percent to a total of 300 million. Online advertising occupied the highest place in terms of revenues followed by television in terms of media ad revenues. According to the report, television revenues grew by 25 percent to reach $250 million and advertising revenues for print media increased 7 percent to reach $250 million.

About $500-600 million was spent by advertisers on contextual advertising. It is a form of targeted advertising for advertisements appearing on websites or mobile browsers. This mode of advertising scans the text of a website for keywords and return advertisements to the web page based on what the user is viewing. This mode of advertising had experienced 63 percent growth in comparison with the last year in Russia. About 49% of the online ad revenues was constituted by display advertising that includes banners and ads on websites. These revenues accounted for $300-350 million. eMarketer Forecasts US Online Ad Spends to Reach $31 billion in 2011

Technology has been advancing day by day easing the daily life activities. With the use of Internet, there has been an increased growth of businesses throughout the world. Advertising is considered to be one of the most important tools promoting business services and helps in its success and growth. In today’s world of technology, online advertising is the effective marketing tool used worldwide. In the US, firms are busy in increasing their online ad spends.

An eMarketer estimate report states that US online ad spends are expected to reach $31.3 billion in 2011 contributing a growth of about 20.2%. In 2010, the country had spent around $26 billion on online advertising. The online search ad spends are estimated to be $14.38 while the online display ad spends are expected to be $12.33 billion in 2011. The online display ads include banner ads, online video, rich media and sponsorships. The online search and display ad spends are estimated to grow by 19.8% and 24.5% respectively over 2010.

Furthermore, among all the formats of online advertising, online video ad spends are estimated to grow by 52.1% in 2011 to $2.16 billion. However, in 2010, only $1.42 billion was spent on online video ads. Online ad spends on sponsorships are expected to grow by 26.4% in 2011 to $0.91 billion from $0.72 billion in 2010. The online banner ad spends are estimated to grow by 22.1% in 2011. On the whole, the online search as well as the display ad spends are expected to grow in the US in 2011. As a part of the estimations, the firm also expected that the US online ad spends would reach $49.5 billion by 2015.
