As per the consumer report and highly coveted top pick list, very few models comes in top 10 pick list category. Toyota ranked third in the beleaguered automaker ranking.

Major reason behind the Toyota’s fewer pick is its safety and recall problems. Top picks of Toyota were knocked off the list when sale of those models were temporarily suspended along with half –dozen massive recall by automaker.

Only two cars of Toyota come in top 10 picks. These are: The Toyota Prius and the Lexus LS 460L. Half year ago, major top picks were Toyota’s only. The Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Highlander were main top 10 picks the last year’s.

A long gap made way to new entries. The Subaru Forester and the Chevrolet Traverse replaces the place of RAV4 and Highlander.

As per the consumer report statement, Toyota “recommended” rating may return. They suspended its recommended rating for eight model of Toyota. As soon as Toyota recovers its technical glitches they will restore the rating.
