Exported Chinese Foods Attract Controversies

Things are not going well for China’s food industry. After the milk scandal in US, it has another controversy in tainted beans in Japan.

China’s milk scandal has rocked the health news globally. Over 10,700 Chinese children were hospitalized due to supply of toxic milk. Even there were infant deaths due to the milk supplied to people with high levels of industrial chemical melamine. Even there were Cadbury chocolates from China where high levels of toxic melamine were found. There were even situations where candies imported from China were found toxic in many countries. The situation came to a hold after China started taking necessary actions against overhaul of milk.

Recently in Japan, a store has pulled off the frozen beans from its shelves after finding that the beans were infested with 34,000 times than the permitted dose of insecticide. At least one woman was hospitalized after eating the green beans imported by Nichirei Foods of Japan.

If the situation continued repeating, even another Beijing Olympics may not help to regain the trust of other countries over its products.
